Windows 11 migration & Windows 10 ESU
Windows 10 has received no regular updates since October 2025. For businesses, paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) bridge the risk — year one runs until 13 Oct 2026, then the price doubles each year (up to October 2028 at most). Postponing the move to Windows 11 means paying twice: ESU fees now and a rushed migration later.

E-invoicing requirement
All companies have had to be able to receive e-invoices since 2025. From 1 Jan 2027, companies with more than €800,000 prior-year turnover must also send B2B e-invoices — all companies from 1 Jan 2028. What matters are end-to-end processes and clean integration into accounting.

NIS2: obligations already apply
Germany’s NIS2 implementation act has been in force since 6 December 2025 — with no transition period. Affected companies (from 50 employees or €10m turnover across 18 sectors) must already meet risk-management, reporting and registration duties; essential entities must evidence their measures by December 2028.
